Brian is home! He is getting better everyday and I have never seen a child more happy to be back home. He was just sitting watching everyone else play with a huge smile on his face. Because his medicine had been started and stopped a number of times and the TB and meningitis had been in his system for so long, he still needs a lot of care even though he is out of the hospital. He needs to take a pill for 6 months in order to fully get the TB out of his system. He also needs two different injections. One is twice a day for 10 days through an IV line that they put in his hand. The second is only once a day, but it has to be given every morning for two months. For the first few days he was home he had to be taken to the hospital at 8am and 8pm everyday for injections. It was a couple of crazy days juggling that and everything else, but God provided a nurse to come to the baby house twice a day to give him the injections.
