Another great week. All the kids are doing great. We started taking them to the hospital for physical therapy once a week and then we work with them at home. We are seeing improvements with everyone. God is so good. I am blessed each and every moment I get to spend with these five wonderful faces.
The whole crew
Barasa is making a great adjustment. He fits right in with the rest of the group. I love hearing him and Lavender playing and all the laughter and joy that the two of them have. He also plays ball with Cyril or sits down with Dani or goes over and shakes Isaac’s hand. He loves coloring and will only put his book and crayon down if you offer to play ball with him.
Sammy loves his coloring book.

So happy!
Lavender is making great progress. She is getting closer to being able to fully sit on her own. If her body comes forward she now has the strength to push herself back upright. She also loves coloring and playing with the other kids. We are working on finding a chair with a tray for her so that she can work on feeding herself and gaining other independent skills so that she can go to school next year.

Isaac is another one that is making great progress. We had a shaky start with him not eating or gaining weight. Now he is a good little eater and is starting to gain weight. His arms and legs are becoming less stiff everyday. Now he can open his hands on his own and he will straighten his arms and legs. He is also getting better and controlling his head. With his chair at the house he can spend time sitting up and work on strengthening those muscles as well.

Cyril is doing good. She is still so happy. Every afternoon she will laugh for about an hour if someone is playing with her or if she is by herself. She is healthy and also improving. She used to hold her right hand all the way bent and up in the air. Now with therapy she is starting to put it down by her side when she plays. She is also starting to walk better on her own.
Dani hasn’t been here as long as the others but he is still making progress. He has starting paying more attention to the people around him. He is starting to respond to his name. He is still a great little eater and a happy little guy. We hope to find him a standing aide so that he can get used to putting his feet on the ground and hopefully start walking.

Thank you all for your continued prayers. God is certainly working in the lives of these children as they make little steps forward everyday. I am amazed with how much God has done this far and can’t wait to see what he has in store.
